ENG vs WI: England’s (ENG) Predicted Playing XI Against West Indies (WI) – ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Match 14. The number one ranked T20 side, England would be keen to win their second T20 World Cup title ahead of the start of the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

The last time when the T20 World Cup was staged by ICC, England exhibited sensational performances and went on to reach the final of the tournament. However, some sensational ball-striking from Carlos Brathwaite in the final over of the match denied them their second title.

Ahead of their first game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, England will, once again, meet West Indies at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Here’s a look at our predicted playing XI of England against West Indies.

Jos Buttler and Jason Roy are most likely to open the innings for England ahead of the first game against West Indies. There is no denying that Jos Buttler is going to be vital to England’s fortune in the tournament.

He is one of the best batsmen in the shortest format, averaging more than 50 as an opener in T20 internationals. Buttler produced a stellar knock of 73 runs off 51 balls in the warm-up game against New Zealand.

England will have a real chance of winning the game if Buttler plays another such knock on Saturday. Jason Roy’s record in T20 cricket isn’t ordinary either. His consistency is an issue but once he gets set, England would feel a lot more comfortable about their chances.
